NHS Pharmacy First Scotland is a consultation service offered by local Pharmacies to encourage patients to visit their local community pharmacy as the first port of call for minor illnesses and common clinical conditions.

They can help manage conditions by discussing appropriate self-care advice, they can also supply appropriate treatment and discuss what to do if symptoms do not improve or if they are unable to help will refer to another healthcare professional if appropriate.

Allergies (if over 1 year old)

Athletes Foot

Backache

Bacterial Conjunctivitis (if over 2 years old)

Blocked/Runny Nose

Cold Sores

Colic

Constipation

Cough

Cystitis/ Urine Infection (women between 16-65 years only)

Diarrhoea (if over 1 year old)

Dry Eyes

Dry Skin—eczema/dermatitis

Ear Ache

Haemorrhoids (if over 18 years old)

Hay Fever (if over 1 year old)

Headache

Head Lice

Impetigo (if over 2 years old)

Indigestion (if over 12 years old)

Mouth Ulcers

Nappy Rash

Pain

Period Pain (if over 10 years old)

Ringworm

Scabies (if over 2 years old)

Scalp disorders

Sore Throat

Threadworms (if over 2 years old)

Thrush

Oral Thrush (if over 4 months old)
