There are currently no vacancies in the practice but a training place for a GP Registrar will become available in August 2007.

Riverview Practice wishes to provide an holistic learning environment for registrars and as such it is important that the registrar is contented in this area and able to communicate well with the whole team as well as the patients. 

The ideal registrar will have the following characteristics:

bulletA commitment to the GMC guidance for doctors and GPs in particular
bulletRespect for patients and a commitment to put their needs first
bulletAn ability to prioritise during the working ay and to keep a healthy work/life balance
bulletSome knowledge of the skills to be developed in the registrar year
bulletPersonality traits that would fit in well with the existing team
bulletSome experience of paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology
bulletHas a learning style that is likely to be compatible with the methods of training used in this practice to ensure maximum benefit to the registrar
bulletCommit to one year in this practice rather than 6 months.
