Qualified in 1991 from Edinburgh University. While studying medicine she also gained a BSc (hons) in genetics. Dr Cobb completed her GP training in the Highlands gaining further qualifications in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Family Planning and also Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. She joined the practice in 1995. She also carries out appraisals on GPs in the Highlands and has interests in family planning, child health and GP training.
Qualified in 1977 from Edinburgh University. Has Worked in Southern Africa, Holland and latterly as a GP in Norway where she trained as a Specialist GP. Works as Clinical Assistant in Chest Medicine and is interested in Psychiatry and teenage related problems.
Dr Derek Kelly MB ChB DRCOG MRCGP
Quailified in 1997 from Edinburgh University. Dr Kelly trained in Edinburgh and Inverness and joined the practice in January 2004. He has interests in child health and has started neurological clinics in the practice.
Dr Neil Wilson MB ChB BSc DRCOG MRCGP
Trained in Aberdeen, graduating in 1999. Dr Wilson worked in hospitals in Aberdeen, Elgin and Dundee before training in general practice in Dundee and working as a GP in Dundee and Fife. Special interests include diabetes, heart disease and medicine for the elderly.
Dr Sarah Rootes MBBS BSc MRCGP
Trained in St George's Medical School London. Dr Rootes graduated in 1996 and worked in hospitals in South London before completing her training in Wick. Dr Rootes became a partner in 2005. She has a special interest in paediatrics.
Joined the Practice in 1999. Since joining the practice she has gained a diploma in diabetic care and also attended training on managing minor illnesses, contraception and women’s health. She runs the diabetic clinic in the practice and sees and assesses patients requiring urgent treatment under supervision of the GPs.
Joined the Practice in 2001. She has specialist training in asthma, diabetes, cervical cytology and breast screening. She has a special interest in respiratory care and provides a wide range of nursing services.
